The Atlanta Olympics gold medalist has commended the Super Eagles for beating the Greens, but urged them to win at least two more games to qualify for the 2018 World Cup
Ex-international, Dosu Joseph has commended the Super Eagles following their 3-1 victory
over Algeria in their World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Two goals from Victor Moses and a goal from captain John Obi Mikel ensured Nigeria maintained their leadership in group B with six points.
“The two teams needed the three points, one side needed the points more than the other, but we were in the position to go home with the three points which is good for us and puts us on a very good map on the table, which means we have six points, Cameroon two, Algeria and Zambia have point each, so for me it’s a good one, and I say congrats to all Nigerians for the victory,” Dosu told Goal
“Well, it depends on the pattern of play the coach employs; it also depends on his comments after the first half with the boys.
"He might tell them to delay to slow down the game; he might tell them to hasten the game, so it depends. But then the important thing is the three points and the victory which the boys have already given to Nigerians which should be important to us.
“I tell you in victory you don’t see lapses except in defeat. We’ve won, let’s just celebrate the victory and leave the other part out of it.
“The coaches will address that, but for the fans, I think we should enjoy the victory.
“We still have four games to go, and if we can win two more games, we will have twelve points, but for now, we should be happy and jubilating. Good one from the boys, they did well."
